AirPort Extreme 802.11ac (6th Generation)

Compared with the AirPort Extreme 802.11n (5th Generation), this model moved to three-stream 802.11ac, with a maximum data rate of 1.3 Gbit/s. It has a six-element beam-forming antenna array in a new tower case, 3.85 inches square and 6.6 inches tall. A hard disk on its USB port can now hold Time Machine backups. Apple discontinued the AirPort line in 2018.
