Compared with the Apple TV 4K (1st Generation), this model has the A12 Bionic chip and HDMI 2.1, and it plays high frame rate HDR. Wi-Fi moved to Wi-Fi 6, and a Thread radio was added for smart home devices. It came with a redesigned Siri Remote with a clickpad and a power button. Storage stayed at 32 GB or 64 GB.
