iPad mini (2nd Generation, Wi-Fi)

Compared with the iPad mini (1st Generation, Wi-Fi), this model added a 2048×1536 Retina display and moved to the 64-bit Apple A7 chip with the M7 motion coprocessor. It is slightly thicker (7.5 mm) and heavier, to hold a larger battery. It added two Wi-Fi antennas (MIMO) for faster Wi-Fi. This page covers the Wi-Fi model, A1489.
