iPod shuffle

Apple's first flash-memory iPod has no screen and plays songs in order or shuffled. It is shaped like a stick of gum, with a USB plug under a cap that connects straight to a computer for syncing and charging. A control pad on the front plays, pauses, skips and sets the volume. It came with 512 MB or 1 GB of storage.
