iPod touch (4th generation)

Compared with the iPod touch (3rd generation), this model added a 3.5-inch Retina display at 960×640, double the earlier resolution. It added a front camera for FaceTime, a rear camera that records 720p video, a microphone and a gyroscope. It runs on Apple's A4 chip, and the case is thinner.
