Compared with the Mac mini Server (Mid 2011), this model has a faster quad-core 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7 and two 1 TB hard drives. Its four USB ports moved to USB 3.0, and the graphics moved to Intel HD Graphics 4000. It ships with OS X Server. It was the last Mac mini Server.
