Macintosh Centris 650

Macintosh Centris 650

Compared with the Macintosh IIci, which it replaced, this model moved to the desktop case of the IIvx and from the 68030 to a 25 MHz 68040. The base model has a 68LC040 with no floating-point unit and no Ethernet. Higher-priced models have a full 68040, 8 MB of soldered memory and built-in Ethernet. It keeps three NuBus slots and a Processor Direct Slot, and it takes up to 136 MB of RAM.
