Macintosh II

Macintosh II

Apple's first modular Macintosh separated the computer from the monitor, and it was the first Mac to show color. It has six NuBus expansion slots, a 16 MHz Motorola 68020 with a 68881 floating-point unit, and Color QuickDraw in ROM for up to 8-bit color. Its desktop case has bays for an internal hard disk and a second floppy drive. Apple sold 12-inch monochrome and 13-inch color displays to sit on top of it.
