Macintosh IIx

Macintosh IIx

Compared with the Macintosh II, this model replaced the 68020 with a 16 MHz Motorola 68030 and the 68881 with a 68882 floating-point unit, which is up to twice as fast. It was the first Macintosh with the 1.44 MB SuperDrive as standard, in place of the 800 KB floppy drive. The case and its six NuBus slots did not change.
