Macintosh LC

Macintosh LC

Apple's first low-cost color Macintosh came in a thin pizza-box case designed for cheap assembly. It uses a 16 MHz 68020 on a 16-bit data bus, 2 MB of RAM expandable to 10 MB, and one Processor Direct Slot instead of NuBus slots. With its usual 12-inch color monitor it shows 512×384 in 256 colors. Schools could add a card that runs Apple IIe software.
