Macintosh LC 580

Macintosh LC 580

Compared with the Macintosh LC 575, this model moved to the larger logic board of the Performa 630. It uses IDE hard disks instead of SCSI and uses 1 MB of main memory as video memory. A shadow-mask tube replaced the 575's Trinitron. It can take the Performa 630's video and TV tuner cards, and it launched at US$1,300 with 8 MB of RAM, against US$1,699 for the LC 575.
