Macintosh Quadra 700

Macintosh Quadra 700

Compared with the Macintosh IIci, this model replaced the 68030 with a 25 MHz 68040, which has a built-in floating-point unit. It keeps the IIci's case size but stands upright as a mini-tower. It added built-in Ethernet and dedicated video memory, 512 KB expandable to 2 MB, for 24-bit color at up to 832×624. It has two NuBus slots instead of three, plus a Processor Direct Slot.
