Power Macintosh 6100/60 (PC)

Power Macintosh 6100/60 (PC)

Apple launched this entry-level desktop on the same day as the Power Macintosh 7100 and 8100, its first three PowerPC Macs. It replaced the Motorola 68040 of the Quadra 610 with a 60 MHz PowerPC 601. It ran most older Mac software through a built-in 68K emulator. It kept the low desktop case of the Quadra 610, with one slot that takes either a Processor Direct Slot card or a short NuBus card.
