PowerBook 140

PowerBook 140

Launched with the PowerBook 100 and 170, the 140 was the middle model of the first PowerBook line. Apple designed it in-house around a 16 MHz 68030 processor, with no FPU. Unlike the 100, it had an internal 1.44 MB floppy drive. Its 9.8-inch black-and-white screen was passive-matrix, where the 170 in the same case had active-matrix.
