PowerBook G3

PowerBook G3

Apple's first notebook with a PowerPC G3 processor used a 250 MHz G3 with 512 KB of level 2 cache. Apple built it in the case of the PowerBook 3400c, with a 12.1-inch active-matrix screen at 800×600, a CD-ROM drive and a floppy drive. It weighed 7.5 lb and cost US$5,700. The redesigned PowerBook G3 Series replaced it after six months.
