Xserve G5 (January 2005)

Compared with the Xserve G5, this model raised the dual-processor version from 2.0 GHz to 2.3 GHz, while the single-processor version stayed at 2.0 GHz. New 400 GB Serial ATA drive modules raised internal storage from 750 GB to 1.2 TB in three bays. The standard optical drive became a Combo drive instead of a CD-ROM drive. The case and two PCI-X slots did not change.
