Description

This trackpad flex cable connects the trackpad and keyboard (by way of the trackpad) to the logic board.
Because the keyboard communications are routed through the trackpad, a defective trackpad flex cable can prevent both input devices from functioning.
This may also be referred to as the IPD (input device) flex cable.
