  • These drives were manufactured by Samsung for Apple and are used in the Mac mini, Mac Pro, iMac and MacBook Pro computers released Late 2013 through 2014.
  • Although often confused for M.2 drives, these use a nameless connector (often referred to as 12+16 pin) that's proprietary to Apple.
  • All this storage capacity isn't very useful without the speed to use it, so these drives have a PCIe 2.0 four-channel interface for blazing fast read and write speeds.
