MacBook Pro Mid 2012 logic board upgrade
We replace the logic board of a 2011 15-inch MacBook Pro with a Mid 2012 board, which is free of the 2011 graphics defect.
The upgrade
Many customers bring us 15-inch MacBook Pro computers from 2011 with failing graphics (see MacBook Pro 2011 graphics defect). For a lasting fix, we replace the logic board with one from the Mid 2012 15-inch MacBook Pro. The rest of the computer stays as it is.
What you gain
- A logic board free of the graphics defect.
- USB 3.0 ports, up to 10 times faster than the USB 2.0 ports of the 2011 board.
- A newer quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M graphics.
