Description

  • This sensor sticks to the exterior of the hard drive or SSD and monitors it's temperature.
  • There are three temp sensors in the 2010 Mac mini: upper hard drive sensor, ambient temp sensor (attached to hard drive cable), and either an optical drive sensor, or a lower (secondary) hard drive sensor.
  • This cable is the same cable used for both the upper hard drive, and the optional lower hard drive (only found in server models or devices where the optical drive's been replaced with a second drive).
  • This cable is identical to the optical/ambient thermal sensor, except it's a bit longer (8.0" vs 6.8").
